Follow these 6 steps to get started with email tracking in Gmail.
Install the Chrome Extension
Add TrackMailBox to Chrome in one click. It's free and takes under 30 seconds. Once installed, the TrackMailBox icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar.

Sign In with Your Google Account
Click the TrackMailBox icon in your Chrome toolbar (look for the envelope icon). Sign in with your Google account to authorize Gmail access. This lets the extension attach tracking to your outgoing emails.

Enable Tracking in the Compose Window
Open Gmail and compose a new email. You will see a tracking toggle at the bottom of the compose window. Make sure it is turned on (green) before sending.
Tip: You can also use the TrackMailBox panel in the Gmail top bar to toggle tracking on or off globally.
Send Your Email
Write and send your email as normal. TrackMailBox automatically embeds an invisible tracking pixel. No signatures, no logos added to your email.

Common Questions About Email Tracking
How do I know if email tracking is working?
After sending a tracked email, you will see it in your TrackMailBox dashboard with a "Sent" status. Once opened, the status changes to "Opened" with a timestamp. You will also receive a desktop notification if enabled.
Can I track emails I already sent?
No, tracking must be enabled before sending. The tracking pixel is embedded when you click send. You cannot add tracking to emails that have already been sent.
Do recipients know I'm tracking emails?
With TrackMailBox, recipients cannot tell you are tracking. Unlike other tools that add signatures, we remain completely invisible. However, tech-savvy users might check email headers or disable images.
Can I track emails sent to multiple recipients?
